- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Open the refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the rounds. Use a 1-inch round cutter to punch a hole in the center of each biscuit. Reserve the centers for donut holes.
- Lightly brush all sides of the donut rings and holes with 2 tablespoons of neutral oil or melted butter to ensure a crisp texture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes. Place the donuts in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not touch.
- Air fry for 4 minutes until the tops are golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until they sound hollow when tapped.
- While warm, dip the donuts into 4 tablespoons of melted butter and roll in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon, or dip into a glaze made from powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla.
- Place the donut holes in the basket and air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 3 minutes until puffed and browned.
