Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated flaky layers biscuits
  • 2 tablespoons neutral oil or melted unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Open the refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the rounds. Use a 1-inch round cutter to punch a hole in the center of each biscuit. Reserve the centers for donut holes.
  2. Lightly brush all sides of the donut rings and holes with 2 tablespoons of neutral oil or melted butter to ensure a crisp texture.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes. Place the donuts in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not touch.
  4. Air fry for 4 minutes until the tops are golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until they sound hollow when tapped.
  5. While warm, dip the donuts into 4 tablespoons of melted butter and roll in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon, or dip into a glaze made from powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla.
  6. Place the donut holes in the basket and air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 3 minutes until puffed and browned.
