Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved (or quartered if large)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, for drizzling after cooking (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the Brussels sprouts. Trim the ends and remove any loose outer leaves. Halve or quarter (if large) to ensure even cooking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.
  3. Arrange the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the sprouts are tender and slightly charred. Look for a golden-brown colour.
  5. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the air fryer and transfer to a serving dish. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar (if using) and serve immediately.
