  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (2.5 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (2.5 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, 1.25 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25 ml)

Instructions:

  1. Pat chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly all over the chicken drumsticks, ensuring every inch is coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  5. Arrange chicken drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches.
  6. Air fry for 20-25 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) using a meat thermometer and the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
