Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds (900g) chicken wings, separated at the joints
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This is crucial for crispy skin!
  2. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder (if using). Make sure they're evenly coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your model requires it.
  4. Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches.
  5. Air fry for 10 minutes, then flip the wings with tongs.
  6. Cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown, crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Use an instant-read thermometer to check!
  7. If using sauce, toss the cooked wings in your favorite sauce in a clean bowl.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces, celery, and carrot sticks.
