Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (900g) chicken wings, separated at the joints
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This is crucial for crispy skin!
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder (if using). Make sure they're evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your model requires it.
- Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, then flip the wings with tongs.
- Cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown, crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Use an instant-read thermometer to check!
- If using sauce, toss the cooked wings in your favorite sauce in a clean bowl.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces, celery, and carrot sticks.
