Ingredients:

  • 2 (6-ounce/170g) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml), freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill (5 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.25 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25 ml)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Make the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Marinate the Salmon: Brush the marinade evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer (if necessary): Some air fryers require preheating; follow manufacturer instructions. 390°F (200°C) usually works well.
  5. Air Fry the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down (if using skin-on fillets). Ensure the fillets aren't overcrowded; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook to Perfection: Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C). Check for doneness at the 7-minute mark.
  7. Rest and Serve: Let the salmon rest for a minute or two before serving. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
