Ingredients:
- 1 box (15.25 oz) spice cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter, cooled
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a 10-12 cup Bundt pan with butter or non-stick spray, ensuring all crevices are covered. Optionally, dust with flour and tap out the excess.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, sour cream, and melted butter. Use an electric mixer on medium speed for about 60 seconds until the batter is smooth and mahogany-colored; do not over-beat.
- Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the apple pie filling. Stir slowly until the apples are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
