Ingredients:

  • 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced (approx. 600g)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries (approx. 150g)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15ml)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (2g)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (50g)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed (100g)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (60g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1g)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine apple slices, cranberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Toss until the fruit is well-coated. Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased 9-inch baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly. Evenly spread the topping mixture over the fruit filling.
  4. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  5. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Optionally, serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
