Ingredients:
- 1 medium apple, cored and chopped (approx. 150g)
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce (120g)
- ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) (120ml)
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (60g)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (2g)
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (1g)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (15ml)
- ½ cup ice cubes (approx. 60g)
Instructions:
- Wash, core, and chop the apple into roughly 1-inch pieces.
- Add the chopped apple, applesauce, milk, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, and ice cubes to the blender.
- Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, approximately 30-60 seconds. Check the consistency and blend longer if needed.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or spice levels as desired. Add more maple syrup for sweetness, or a pinch more cinnamon for extra warmth.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
