Ingredients:

  • 1 medium apple, cored and chopped (approx. 150g)
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce (120g)
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) (120ml)
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (60g)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (2g)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (1g)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (15ml)
  • ½ cup ice cubes (approx. 60g)

Instructions:

  1. Wash, core, and chop the apple into roughly 1-inch pieces.
  2. Add the chopped apple, applesauce, milk, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, and ice cubes to the blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, approximately 30-60 seconds. Check the consistency and blend longer if needed.
  4. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or spice levels as desired. Add more maple syrup for sweetness, or a pinch more cinnamon for extra warmth.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
