Ingredients:

  • 1 (5 ounce) canned pink salmon or tuna (no salt added, packed in water, drained)
  • 1 cup oat flour (see note below on how to make oat flour)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 heaping tablespoon dried catnip

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Place a rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Mixture: In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a blade attachment, combine the drained salmon or tuna, oat flour, egg, olive oil, and dried catnip. Pulse until the mixture comes together. The texture should be thick but pliable; bits of fish may remain visible.
  3. Shape Treats: Roll dough into small balls about ½ teaspoon each and place them on a prepared cookie sheet. Use a fork to press down slightly and create marks on each treat.
  4. Bake: Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until they are dried on top and slightly browned.
  5. Cool & Store: Allow treats to cool completely before serving them to your kitty. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to seven days.
