Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each, skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • .5 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well blended.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each fillet generously with the marinade using a pastry brush or spoon.
  5. Transfer the baking sheet to your preheated oven and bake for about 15–20 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Once done baking, remove from oven and let rest for about five minutes before serving.
  7. Serve warm with optional lemon wedges on top for added flavor!
