Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons (15g) grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse Brussels sprouts under cold water; trim the stems and halve them lengthwise.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine Brussels sprouts, olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down for maximum caramelization.
  5. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until sprouts are golden brown and tender.
  6. Optional: Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
