Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted, for brushing)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place your popover pan in the oven to heat while you prepare the batter.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, milk, eggs, and salt until smooth and well combined. Stir in the melted butter until just incorporated. Avoid overmixing; some small lumps are okay.
- Carefully remove the hot popover pan from the oven and spray it with non-stick cooking spray or brush it with additional melted butter to prevent sticking.
- Pour batter into each cup of the hot popover pan, filling them about halfway full to allow room for rising.
- Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes
- While popovers bake, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Once baked, remove popovers from oven. Brush each one generously with melted butter, then roll them in cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Serve immediately while warm for best results. Enjoy your delicious baked cinnamon sugar popovers!
