Ingredients:
- 4 (6-ounce) crappie fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Juice of half a lemon
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Dish: Lightly grease your baking dish with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
- Season the Fillets: Place the crappie fillets in the baking dish. Drizzle olive oil or melted butter over each fillet. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika if using.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15–20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of at least 145°F (63°C).
- Add Lemon Juice: Once cooked, remove from oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over each fillet.
- Garnish & Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately alongside your favorite side dishes like rice pilaf or steamed vegetables.
