Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1 pack (12 count) Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 12 small pickle chips
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, relish, vinegar, paprika, and onion powder in a small bowl. Set aside in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Press the meat into a rectangular shape in a skillet to match the dimensions of the rolls. Brown over medium-high heat until fully cooked, then break into crumbles and drain excess grease.
  3. Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in a 9x13 inch baking dish and spread a generous layer of the prepared sauce across the bottom.
  4. Top the sauce with the cooked beef, followed by a layer of American cheese slices. Place the top buns back on the sliders.
  5. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter mixed with garlic powder. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the buns are toasted golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, lift the top buns, and layer the shredded iceberg lettuce and pickle chips before serving.
