- 28-32 oz (795-907g) frozen tater tots
- 8 oz (225g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 oz (115g) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup (115g) dill pickle slices, diced
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, mustard, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Spread about 3/4 of the special sauce evenly over the ground beef. Reserve the rest for serving.
- Sprinkle with half of the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.
- If desired, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching carefully, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Sprinkle with diced pickles and sesame seeds. Serve hot with the reserved special sauce on the side.
