- 1 (15.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix (432g)
- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling (595g)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted (113g)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) (60g)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the cherry pie filling evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the cherry pie filling.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts evenly over the cake mix (optional).
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix and nuts.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cherry filling is bubbly.
- Let the cake cool slightly before serving. Serve warm.
