- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or cacao nibs (optional)
- 1/4 cup dried fruits (such as cranberries or raisins) (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, chopped nuts, cocoa powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, mix together peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Spread the mixture onto a lined baking sheet, pressing it down lightly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and fragrant.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet.
- Once cooled, stir in chocolate chips or dried fruits, if using.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
