Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced (approx. 200g)
- 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 2 tablespoons (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons (30g) honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (150g) ice cubes
- Slices of banana (for garnish)
- Dark chocolate shavings or chips (for garnish)
- Whipped cream (dairy or non-dairy, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Slice the bananas.
- In the blender, add sliced bananas, almond milk, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is creamy and smooth. If its too thick, add a bit more almond milk.
- Add the ice cubes to the blender. Blend again until the smoothie is chilled and frothy.
- Taste the smoothie; if desired, add more sweetener and blend again.
- Pour the smoothie into glasses. Garnish with banana slices, chocolate shavings, or whipped cream if desired. Enjoy immediately!
