Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped chives
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts for coating
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red bell pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and chives.
  2. Mix until well blended and creamy, either with a hand mixer or spatula.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Shape the mixture into a ball or log and wrap it in plastic wrap.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Once chilled, remove the cheese ball from the wrap and roll it in the chopped pecans or walnuts to coat it evenly.
  7. OPTIONAL: If using, press chopped red bell pepper into the top for garnish.
  8. Serve on a platter with an assortment of crackers and vegetable sticks.
