Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped chives
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts for coating
- ¼ cup finely chopped red bell pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and chives.
- Mix until well blended and creamy, either with a hand mixer or spatula.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Shape the mixture into a ball or log and wrap it in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Once chilled, remove the cheese ball from the wrap and roll it in the chopped pecans or walnuts to coat it evenly.
- OPTIONAL: If using, press chopped red bell pepper into the top for garnish.
- Serve on a platter with an assortment of crackers and vegetable sticks.
