- 1 cup (100g) fresh cranberries (or frozen, thawed)
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup (130g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened and cubed
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, cranberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch.
- Toss until fruits are evenly coated.
- Pour the fruit mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and salt.
- Cut in softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in oats and vanilla extract.
- Evenly sprinkle the crumb topping over the fruit filling.
- Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
