Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained thoroughly
  • 1 large ripe Hass avocado
  • 1.5 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Halve the avocado and remove the pit. Scoop the flesh into a medium mixing bowl and immediately drizzle with the lime juice to prevent browning.
  2. Use a fork to mash the avocado until it is approximately 70% smooth, leaving some small chunks for texture.
  3. Add the thoroughly drained tuna to the bowl. Use the side of the fork to flake the tuna into the avocado mash until the fish is evenly coated.
  4. Fold in the minced red onion, diced celery, and cilantro.
  5. Season with sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir gently to combine and serve immediately.
