Ingredients:
- 2 medium russet potatoes (around 450g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Fresh herbs (e.g., rosemary or thyme) for garnish (optional)
- Vinegar for soaking (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash and peel the potatoes if desired. Slice potatoes thinly using a mandoline or knife (approximately 1/8 inch thick). (Optional) Soak slices in cold water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain the soaked potato slices and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary. Air fry for 15-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until chips are golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer chips to a cooling rack to retain crispiness. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
