Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 lbs (900g to 1.4kg) bone-in turkey breast, skin on
- 1 tablespoon (13g) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon (5g) kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon (2.5g) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5g) onion powder
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 teaspoon (5g) lemon zest
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil all over the turkey breast, ensuring even coverage.
- In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Apply the seasoning mix to the turkey breast, making sure to season under the skin where possible.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, chopped thyme, rosemary, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and set aside.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the prepared turkey breast in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25 minutes, then carefully brush the herb butter over the skin. Continue cooking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the turkey from the air fryer and let it rest for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Carve the turkey breast and serve with your choice of sides.
