Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved (or quartered if large)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon (15ml) balsamic glaze
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the Brussels sprouts. Trim the ends and remove any yellowed outer leaves. Halve (or quarter) the sprouts.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Ensure they are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes (if your model requires preheating). Arrange the Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. You may need to cook in batches.
  4. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the sprouts are tender and golden brown with crispy edges. Keep a close eye - air fryers vary!
  5. Transfer the cooked Brussels sprouts to a serving dish. Drizzle with balsamic glaze or sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (if using). Serve hot and enjoy!
