Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon (15g) honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon (5g) grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced (about 1 teaspoon or 3g)
- 1/4 teaspoon (1g) black pepper
- 1 tablespoon (7g) cornstarch
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) finely chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 teaspoon (1g) garlic powder
- Pinch of salt and black pepper
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine salmon cubes with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey/maple syrup, ginger, garlic, and pepper. Toss to coat well. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Taste and adjust seasoning. Refrigerate.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss marinated salmon bites with cornstarch.
- Arrange salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly crispy.
- Transfer salmon bites to a plate. Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired. Serve with lemon-dill aioli for dipping.
