Ingredients:

  • 2 fillets of skin-on salmon (about 6 ounces/170 grams each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5g)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Set the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush the olive oil mixture generously over the skin side of each salmon fillet, coating well.
  5. Arrange the salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not crowded.
  6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, checking for doneness. The salmon should flake easily with a fork and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Once cooked, remove the fillets using tongs. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
