Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (50g) panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup (25g) finely grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Cooking spray (olive oil or avocado oil)
Instructions:
- Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
- Place flour in one dish, beaten egg in another, and combine panko, Parmesan (if using), paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in the third dish.
- Dredge each shrimp in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat thoroughly in the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange shrimp in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. You might need to cook in batches.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 4-5 minutes per side, flipping halfway through, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 145°F or 63°C).
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
