Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup (25g) finely grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray (olive oil or avocado oil)

Instructions:

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. Place flour in one dish, beaten egg in another, and combine panko, Parmesan (if using), paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in the third dish.
  3. Dredge each shrimp in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat thoroughly in the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange shrimp in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. You might need to cook in batches.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 4-5 minutes per side, flipping halfway through, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 145°F or 63°C).
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
