Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes (about 2 pounds or 900 grams)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (or sunflower oil)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into even strips (about ¼- to ½-inch thick).
  3. Place cut potatoes into a large bowl and cover with cold water. Soak for 10-15 minutes for extra crispiness.
  4. Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a kitchen towel.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over the dried potato strips; toss to coat.
  6. Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper; toss again until evenly coated.
  7. Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving; garnish with parsley if desired.
