Ingredients:
- 4 large russet potatoes (about 2 lbs or 900 g)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
- Ketchup or your preferred dip
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut into uniform sticks (about 1/4 inch thick).
- Soak the potato sticks in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and rinse well.
- Pat the potatoes dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
- Place the potatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until evenly coated.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on the baking sheet (ensure they aren’t overcrowded).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with your favorite dips.
