Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes (about 2 lbs or 900 g)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
  • Ketchup or your preferred dip

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut into uniform sticks (about 1/4 inch thick).
  3. Soak the potato sticks in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and rinse well.
  4. Pat the potatoes dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
  5. Place the potatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until evenly coated.
  6. Spread the fries in a single layer on the baking sheet (ensure they aren’t overcrowded).
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with your favorite dips.
