- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165 g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) salt
- 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Incorporate the vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dollops of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers appear slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
