Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup dry cake mix
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or melting chocolate (optional for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Line the baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar, salt, dry cake mix, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Add mini marshmallows to the mixture and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and quickly fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until well-coated.
  5. Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles, reserving some for topping if desired.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down firmly with a spatula to create an even layer.
  7. Let the treats cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes until set.
  8. If using, melt the white chocolate and drizzle over the cooled treats, letting it set before slicing.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
