Ingredients:
- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup dry cake mix
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or melting chocolate (optional for topping)
Instructions:
- Line the baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal and set aside.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar, salt, dry cake mix, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Add mini marshmallows to the mixture and stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and quickly fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until well-coated.
- Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles, reserving some for topping if desired.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down firmly with a spatula to create an even layer.
- Let the treats cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes until set.
- If using, melt the white chocolate and drizzle over the cooled treats, letting it set before slicing.
- Cut into squares and serve.
