Ingredients:

  • 40 Mini Pretzel Twists (fresh and unbroken)
  • 40 Hershey's Kisses (Milk chocolate or caramel-filled, unwrapped)
  • 40 Plain M&M's (or Smarties)
  • Coarse Sea Salt (Optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to a very low temperature: 300°F (150°C). Line a large baking sheet completely with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
  2. Arrange the 40 mini pretzels flat on the prepared sheet, leaving a small space between each one. Unwrap all 40 chocolate Kisses and place one Kiss directly in the centre of each pretzel twist.
  3. Bake for exactly 4 to 6 minutes. The chocolate will look glossy, soft, and slightly slumped, but must not be completely melted or liquid. The tip of the Kiss should still retain some shape.
  4. Immediately remove the sheet from the oven and place it on a heatproof surface. Working quickly, gently press one M&M firmly onto the centre of each softened chocolate Kiss. This flattens the chocolate slightly and secures the topping.
  5. If using, immediately sprinkle a tiny pinch of coarse sea salt onto the soft chocolate around the M&M.
  6. Allow the bites to cool undisturbed at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator or freezer and chill for a minimum of 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely hard and non-sticky.
  7. Once fully set, peel the Pretzel Bites off the parchment paper and store them in an airtight container at cool room temperature or in the fridge.
