Ingredients:
- 1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 0.5 tsp sea salt
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
- 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Generously grease a large rimmed baking sheet with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch the pizza dough into a rough 1-inch thick rectangle. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into 1-inch strips, then cut across to form small squares, aiming for roughly 32 uniform pieces.
- Place the dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they aren't touching to allow for proper air circulation and crisping. Season lightly with sea salt.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the bottoms are mahogany-colored and the tops are light golden. The bites should sound hollow when tapped.
- While the bread is baking, combine butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat. Melt until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
- Transfer the hot baked bites into a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic butter infusion over the bites and toss vigorously. Add the finely grated Parmesan and fresh parsley, tossing again until the cheese begins to melt and adhere to the bread.
