Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) Long-Grain White Rice, rinsed
- 2 cups (475ml) Water
- ½ teaspoon (3g) Salt
- 1 tablespoon (14g) Unsalted Butter (optional)
Instructions:
- Place rice in the sieve and rinse under cold running water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch and prevents stickiness.
- Add the rinsed rice, water, salt, and butter (if using) to the saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, immediately reduce the heat to the lowest setting, cover tightly with the lid, and simmer undisturbed for 18 minutes. Do not lift the lid during this time!
- After 18 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it stand, still covered, for 5 minutes.
- After the resting period, fluff the rice gently with a fork. Serve immediately and enjoy.
