Ingredients:
- 4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp or 7 g) instant yeast
- 1 tsp (5 g) salt
- 1 cup (240 ml) warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)
- 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp (15 g) ground cinnamon
- Zest of 1 large orange
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp (30-45 ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Combine flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, and eggs.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for approximately 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let rise in a warm area for about 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and orange zest.
- After the dough has rested, roll it into a large rectangle (about 12x18 inches).
- Spread an even layer of the brown sugar mixture over the dough.
- Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log.
- Slice the log into 12 even pieces.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar, orange juice, and vanilla until well combined.
- Once baked, drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls. Serve immediately.
