Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pre-made pizza dough, room temperature
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup thick marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 24 slices pepperoni, cut into small hearts
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C). On a lightly floured surface, use a rolling pin to flatten the room-temperature dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
  2. Use a 3-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter to punch out shapes from the dough. Place the hearts onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Whisk the garlic powder into the olive oil. Use a pastry brush to lightly coat the edges of each heart to ensure a golden, flavorful crust.
  4. Spread 1-2 teaspoons of marinara sauce in the center of each heart, leaving a small border for the crust to rise.
  5. Top each pizza with approximately 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella and place two pepperoni hearts in the center. Sprinkle with dried oregano.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the edges reach a deep golden brown.
