Ingredients:

  • 4 large Lebanese pita breads (approx. 6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, slice each pita bread into 8 equal wedges to ensure uniform cooking.
  2. Place the pita wedges in a large bowl, drizzle with the olive oil, and toss gently with your hands to coat every millimeter.
  3. Sprinkle the fine sea salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cracked black pepper over the oiled bread, tossing again until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the wedges in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 7–10 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through, until edges are deep golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack or let sit undisturbed on the pan for 10 minutes to allow the starches to set for a shattering texture.
