Ingredients:
- 1 cup (175g) steel cut oats
- 4 cups (950ml) water
- Pinch of sea salt (about 1/4 tsp, 1.5g)
- (Optional): 1/2 tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
- (Optional): 1 tbsp (15ml) maple syrup or honey (or to taste)
- Your desired toppings (e.g., fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, brown sugar, milk or cream)
Instructions:
- Add steel cut oats, water, salt, and optional cinnamon (if using) to the Instant Pot.
- Secure the lid, ensuring the steam release valve is set to Sealing.
- Select Manual or Pressure Cook mode and set the timer for 5 minutes at high pressure.
- Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes. Then, carefully quick release any remaining pressure.
- Open the lid carefully. Stir the oats well. Stir in maple syrup or honey (if using).
- Serve immediately with your favourite toppings. Customize to taste.
