Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (30 ml)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (approx. 6g)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (2g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (0.5g)
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approx. 6-8 oz/170-225g each)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375-450°F/190-230°C). If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken breasts on the preheated grill.
  5. Grill for 4-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Use a meat thermometer to ensure accuracy.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. This helps the juices redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chicken breast.
