Ingredients:

  • 1 (11 oz) box Vanilla Wafers
  • 6–8 medium Bananas, sliced thinly
  • 1 (8 oz) block full-fat Cream Cheese, fully softened
  • 1 (14 oz) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 (3.4 oz) boxes Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
  • 3 cups Whole Milk
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream (or 1 tub Cool Whip), whipped stiffly
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the cream cheese base: Beat the softened cream cheese in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Slowly blend in the sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla extract until fully incorporated and smooth.
  2. Prepare the pudding: In a separate bowl, whisk the instant pudding mix with 3 cups of whole milk until the mixture begins to thicken, about 2 minutes.
  3. Combine the mixtures: Gently fold the prepared pudding into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and uniform. Set aside.
  4. Whip the cream: Whip the heavy cream (or Cool Whip) until stiff peaks form. Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese custard mixture to lighten the texture.
  5. Assemble the trifle: Begin layering in a large glass trifle bowl. Start with a layer of Vanilla Wafers on the bottom. Do not soak the wafers.
  6. Add a layer of sliced Bananas over the wafers.
  7. Spoon half of the Cream Cheese Custard mixture over the banana layer.
  8. Repeat the layering process: Wafers, Bananas, and the remaining Custard.
  9. Top the final layer of custard with the remaining half of the whipped cream mixture. Garnish with a few crumbled wafers for presentation.
  10. Chill: Cover the trifle tightly and chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 6 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving. This allows the wafers to absorb moisture and the custard to fully set.
