Ingredients:
- 1 (11 oz) box Vanilla Wafers
- 6–8 medium Bananas, sliced thinly
- 1 (8 oz) block full-fat Cream Cheese, fully softened
- 1 (14 oz) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2 (3.4 oz) boxes Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
- 3 cups Whole Milk
- 2 cups Heavy Cream (or 1 tub Cool Whip), whipped stiffly
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
- Prepare the cream cheese base: Beat the softened cream cheese in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Slowly blend in the sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla extract until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Prepare the pudding: In a separate bowl, whisk the instant pudding mix with 3 cups of whole milk until the mixture begins to thicken, about 2 minutes.
- Combine the mixtures: Gently fold the prepared pudding into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and uniform. Set aside.
- Whip the cream: Whip the heavy cream (or Cool Whip) until stiff peaks form. Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese custard mixture to lighten the texture.
- Assemble the trifle: Begin layering in a large glass trifle bowl. Start with a layer of Vanilla Wafers on the bottom. Do not soak the wafers.
- Add a layer of sliced Bananas over the wafers.
- Spoon half of the Cream Cheese Custard mixture over the banana layer.
- Repeat the layering process: Wafers, Bananas, and the remaining Custard.
- Top the final layer of custard with the remaining half of the whipped cream mixture. Garnish with a few crumbled wafers for presentation.
- Chill: Cover the trifle tightly and chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 6 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving. This allows the wafers to absorb moisture and the custard to fully set.
