  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  2. (Optional) In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  3. (Optional) Remove from heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix well to ensure everything is combined evenly.
  4. Pour the fudge mixture into your prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly using a spatula.
  5. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts or toppings on top before it sets.
  6. Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until solid.
  7. Once set, lift the fudge out using the edges of the parchment paper (if used), cut into squares, and enjoy!
