Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups (210g) frozen mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries)
  • 0.5 (50g) frozen banana
  • 0.5 cup (120ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 0.33 cup (75g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp (5ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp (15g) chia seeds

Instructions:

  1. Pour the 120ml almond milk into the blender jar first. This ensures the blades spin freely from the start.
  2. Add the 75g Greek yogurt on top of the milk. Placing the heavy liquids at the bottom helps pull the frozen items down.
  3. Toss in the 15g chia seeds and the 5ml lemon juice.
  4. Layer the 50g frozen banana pieces over the yogurt.
  5. Add the 210g frozen mixed berries last. The weight of the frozen fruit helps push everything into the blades.
  6. Secure the lid and start the blender on the lowest speed.
  7. Increase to high speed and blend for 45 to 60 seconds until the mixture is swirling in a consistent vortex.
  8. Stop and check the consistency. If it's too thick, add a tiny splash of milk and pulse.
  9. Pour immediately into a chilled glass until the vibrant purple liquid reaches the rim.
  10. Drink within 10 minutes to enjoy the best possible texture before the chia seeds thicken it too much.
