Ingredients:

  • 2 large ripe bananas (about 300g)
  • 1 cup (250g) creamy peanut butter (unsweetened)
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (300g) Nutella
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced (optional for layering)
  • ½ cup (75g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) chopped peanuts (optional, for crunch)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease the baking dish lightly with oil or cooking spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mash the 2 large ripe bananas until smooth.
  4. Add the creamy peanut butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and whisk until well combined and smooth.
  5. Pour half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
  6. Spoon the Nutella evenly over the base layer. Optionally, place sliced bananas on top.
  7. Carefully spread the remaining peanut butter batter over the Nutella layer.
  8. Add chocolate chips and chopped peanuts on top.
  9. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
  10. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
