Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (180 g) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (150 g) mixed nuts, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup (150 g) honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) nut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) dried fruits

Instructions:

  1. Prepare a baking pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped nuts, sunflower seeds, and salt.
  3. Heat wet ingredients: In a small saucepan, gently heat honey and nut butter over low heat until well combined and pourable. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Mix wet and dry ingredients: Pour the warm mixture over the dry ingredients, stirring well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
  5. Incorporate dried fruits: Fold in the dried fruits until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer to the baking pan: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and press it down firmly to create an even layer.
  7. Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden brown on the edges.
  8. Cool and slice: Allow the granola bars to cool completely in the pan. Use the parchment paper to lift them out, then slice them into bars.
