Ingredients:
- ½ cup (120ml) creamy peanut butter
- ¼ cup (60ml) warm water
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lime juice
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) grated fresh ginger
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the peanut butter, warm water, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), lime juice, sesame oil, ginger, garlic powder (or minced garlic), and red pepper flakes.
- Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add more warm water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings to your liking. Add more red pepper flakes for heat, lime juice for tang, or honey for sweetness.
- Use the sauce immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. The sauce will thicken as it sits, so you may need to add a splash of water before serving.
