Ingredients:

  • 2 (6-ounce/170g) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon/15ml olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon/5ml lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon/2.5ml garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon/2.5ml paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon/1.25ml salt
  • ¼ teaspoon/1.25ml black pepper
  • Fresh parsley or dill, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps them crisp up nicely in the air fryer.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush or rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the salmon fillets, ensuring both sides are coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your model requires it.
  5. Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
  6. Air fry for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer – it should reach 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute or two before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill, if desired.
