Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs (680g) Salmon fillet, skin on or off, about 1-1.5 inches thick
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 Lemon, juiced (approx. 3 tablespoons)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. This prevents sticking and makes cleanup a breeze.
  3. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, dill, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk to combine.
  4. Place salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet. Pour the marinade evenly over the salmon, ensuring it's well coated.
  5. Bake for 12-18 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet.
  6. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork or when an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 145°F (63°C).
  7. Let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute.
