Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli (about 1.5 lbs/ 680g), cut into florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1 ml), or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1 ml), or to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a touch of heat
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions:

  1. Wash the broccoli thoroughly. Chop the head of broccoli into even-sized florets.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Ensure the broccoli is evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes (if your air fryer requires preheating).
  4. Place the broccoli florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. You may need to cook in batches.
  5. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the broccoli is tender-crisp and slightly browned.
  6. Transfer the cooked broccoli to a serving dish. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes or parmesan cheese (if using). Serve immediately.
