Ingredients:
- 4 medium russet potatoes (approximately 2 lbs / 900 g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt (5 g)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (2 g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (3 g)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (3 g)
Instructions:
- Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips (approximately 1/4 inch thick). Place the cut fries in a large bowl of cold water and soak for 30 minutes to help remove excess starch.
- Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel or paper towels.
- In a large bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
- Spread the fries out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking. Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
