Ingredients:

  • 120 ml (4 oz) Tequila Blanco
  • ½ Jalapeño pepper, sliced
  • 60 ml (2 oz) Jalapeño Infused Tequila
  • 30 ml (1 oz) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 15 ml (0.5 oz) Cointreau
  • 10 ml (0.33 oz) Agave Nectar
  • Lime wedge, for garnish
  • Salt and chili powder mixture, for rim (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine tequila and sliced jalapeño in a small jar. Let sit for at least 30 minutes for the jalapeño to infuse. Strain jalapeños from the tequila before proceeding.
  2. If desired, rim a chilled margarita glass with a mixture of salt and chili powder. Moisten the rim with a lime wedge and gently press it into the salt mixture.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine the jalapeño infused tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, and agave nectar.
  4. Add ice to the shaker until it's about ¾ full. Close the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well chilled.
  5. Strain the margarita into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge.
